"Are We At The End?"

Chapter 1

“But of the times and seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and Safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, not of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11)

In order to determine where we are and what season we are in as it relates to God’s timeframe, it is essential that we consult, inquire of, and seek out the truth through the only One who truly knows the answer:

***God our Father. -Matthew 6:9; Luke 11:2; and Acts 1:6-8

***Jesus our Savior and Redeemer. -Acts 5:29-32; 1 Timothy 1:1; Titus 1:4; Galatians 3:13; and Revelations 5:9

***The Holy Spirit our Guide, Teacher, and Revealer of the truth. -John 14:26; and John 16:13-15

 ***The word ‘end’ in our study refers to: the earth age that we are currently living in that is governed by time, seasons, man’s governments, and massive deception.

The end is also referred to in the Bible as:

***End of the world - Matthew 13:39

***End of all things - I Peter 4:7

***Time of the end - Daniel 11:33-35

***End of the days - Daniel 12:13

***Day of Judgment - II Peter 3:7

***Day of the Lord - II Peter 3:10

***Day of Christ - II Thessalonians 2:2

Does the Bible really teach that the earth age that we are currently living in is coming to an end? Please examine the following scriptures: Matthew 24:3, 14; Matthew 13:40; Matthew 28:20; Mark 13:7; Luke 21:9; Daniel 12:5-12; I Thessalonians 5:1-6.

The 2 rules of interpretation that we will repeatedly stress throughout this teaching are:

1. Establish and base everything that we believe on the complete Word of God (utilizing the Old and New Testament) - Matthew 13:52

2. Take every teaching and preaching that we hear, read, and listen to the Holy Spirit for His confirmation. - I Thessalonians 5:14-23

One of the things that we will be examining throughout this teaching is how, who, and what developed your belief structure. We will be looking at:

A. Why do you believe what you believe?
B. Who and what influenced your belief structure?
C. Is what you now believe based on the Old and New Testament?
D. Do you seriously study the Word of God for yourself?
E. Has your understanding of God’s Word increased over the years or are you exactly where you were when you first got saved?
F. Are you reluctant and fearful to examine your belief structure?
G. Do you depend on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in the Word of God?
H. Are you able to explain what you really believe about the end times or last days?
I. Do you really believe that you have been called and chosen by God?

REMEMBER: What you really believe has everything to do with what you are being prepared to receive or reject in the last days.

The seven areas of Deception to be aware of as it relates to the end of the age:

1. Deception by those who falsely act like they are representing Jesus. {Matthew 24:5}
2. Deception by those who fabricate the true prophetic anointing. {Matthew 24:24}
3. Deception by those who are able to manifest counterfeit signs and wonders. {Matthew 24:24}
4. Deception by those who claim to have special revelation of where Jesus is. {Matthew 24:26}
5. Deception by those who erroneously present when Jesus is coming again. {II Thessalonians 2:2}
6. Deception by having a false understanding of what the great falling away really consists of and when it begins. {II Thessalonians 2:3}
7. Deception by not understanding the appointed time for the anti-christ to be revealed and how it will take place. {II Thessalonians 2:3-12}

The Seven Power anointings that will keep you free from the spirit of deception:

A. Filling your inner man with truth and living your life in truth. {Ephesians 6:14}
B. Staying covered in the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. {Ephesians 6:14}
C. Being secure and steadfast in the Gospel of Peace. {Ephesians 6:15}
D. Using the shield of faith as a life-style to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. {Ephesians 6:16}
E. Utilizing the helmet of salvation to guard your thoughts, emotions, and soulish realm {Ephesians 6:17}
F. Releasing the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God by speaking God’s Word each day. {Ephesians 6:17}
G. Spirit-filled prayer daily releasing the power of God through your prayer language. {Ephesians 6:18}

With God’s Love and Peace,

Youth of the Month:

For the month of July, we are proud to have chosen Tyrell Ward as the Honey Rock Youth of the Month. Tyrell has been attending Honey Rock for several years, and it has been a pleasure to see the grace of God working in his life and in his heart.

Through God's grace, Tyrell has persevered through some challenging times of learning and growing. He has shown himself faithful in class and among the teens, demonstrating more and more the character of Christ.

In class, Tyrell participates with excellence, honoring the Lord in his discipline, dress and conduct. We are so proud to have Tyrell among us in the Honey Rock youth and look forward to seeing him excel in the greatness that the Lord has put inside of him.
The 1 Heart Project Celebration: Walter P. Taylor Homes

This past Saturday, July 23, was a great day of faith, food and fun under the tents at Walter P. The 1 Heart Project is comprised of seven churches which have come together to worship and serve to make a change in the East Gate. We believe God was glorified as His people released a new sound into the atmosphere and the people of Walter P. Taylor experienced the love of Jesus.

Talitha Thomas, who sweat it out to record precious memories of this day, recounts an awesome encounter with some of the children:  "There was a group of children that I asked to take their picture. One of the little boys said, 'I'm not taking no picture.' I then said to him, 'But it's for GOD'S glory.' His response: 'Okay!' He then got in the picture for GOD'S glory only, WoW!"
