CLAP! —10x10 Contemporary Latin American Photobooks is a reading room that features 130 contemporary Latin American photobooks published between 2000 and 2016. Organized by the non-profit 10x10 Photobooks, the project offers a hands-on opportunity to browse Latin American photobooks rarely seen in the United States.

The selected books (fully documented in the just released CLAP! catalogue) represent many of the most exciting innovations in Latin American photography and publications today. The CLAP! reading room has been traveling since May 2016, and the Museum of Fine Arts’ Hirsch Library is CLAP!'s next stop!

Drop by the Hirsch Library on 2 & 3 March for a hands-on experience with members of the 10x10 team, who facilitate the viewing and handling of these exceptional books. Following the event, the books remain on view in the Hirsch Library through 8 April. No need to pay Museum admission—it's always free to visit the library.
