Vesperteen’s pop/rock sound, reminiscent of bands like The 1975 and Bleachers, has connected with a large audience. In just over a year, Rigsby has accrued more than 10,000 followers across social media platforms and generated 600,000 plays on Spotify as an independent artist.
Additionally, Vesperteen has toured the Midwest and opened for several national acts including Family Force Five, The Griswolds, Seryn, and Layne.
The goal, said Rigsby, is to play as many shows as possible, record more music and to continue connecting with his audience in meaningful ways.
“I want people to hear ideas they’ve never considered, feel things along with me, find some solidarity, exorcise some demons and move their bodies,” he said.
Vesperteen recently released a new single, What We Could Have Been and will be touring extensively this year.
