Dear INSEAD Alumni and friends,

We are delighted to inform you that we have registered participants from Norway, Sweden, and Finland to this year's IN-BOARD program. Since we have a few available places left, we are extending the registration deadline to the 15th of July. This is a great opportunity for professional networking and learning after one year of lockdown and restrictions. The program has been running with great success for the last 5 years and we look forward to another excellent program with our partners in Oslo and Fontainebleau. This year, participants are also invited to the INSEAD Summer Party taking place after workshops on Friday the 27th of August. 

For those who have already registered - We will soon be reaching out to you to request a summary of your professional biography to be shared with other participants at the start of the program.  

The IN-BOARD Academy aims to strengthen leaders for current and future board roles through continuous learning and sharing of knowledge and experience on boards. IN-BOARD provides a forum for this with experienced peers and our expert partners and speakers.  

The program is open to alumni from or interested in working in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Baltics, and Russia.

The sessions will be held in person with adherence to national guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19 including cleaning routines and social distancing. 

The workshops this year are: 

• Workshop 1 - Fri, Aug 27 - Sat, Aug 28: Strategy with McKinsey (Oslo). The IN-BOARD delegates will also join the INSEAD Summer Party on Friday evening at Vøienvolden Gård in Oslo
• Workshop 2 - Fri, Sep 17 - Sat, Sep 18: Corporate Governance in the Boardroom with PwC (Oslo)
• Workshop 3 - Fri, Oct 15 - Sat, Oct 16: Human Resources with BackerSkeie  and Communications with First House (Oslo)
• Workshop 4 - Nov 18-20 or Nov 19-21: Sessions at INSEAD Fontainebleau,
  France with other IN-BOARD groups from Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium

Speakers and workshop leaders will include:

• Birger Magnus, Chairman of NRK (Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting), Kolonial.no, and a number of other organizations including those dedicated to health, climate, and the arts. He was earlier Chairman of Storebrand, Statoil Fuel & Retail, Deputy CEO of Schibsted, and a partner at McKinsey.

Participation is limited and applications for the first three workshops in Oslo close the 15th of July 2021.

The application deadline for the 4th workshop in Fontainebleau will be the 15th of September 2021. 

​Participation is open to INSEAD alumni with management experience and operating in or with the Nordics, the Baltic states, and Russia. 

FEES
With the support of INSEAD Alumni Association of Norway (IAAN) and partner companies, the cost for the  program is 990 EUR for the first 3 workshops in Oslo. The session at INSEAD in Fontainebleau is an additional 4,300 EUR and is optional. Participants are responsible for own travel and accommodation costs. The IN-BOARD is a non-profit initiative for IAAN.
