chieftain’s chat
This is my last message to you as chieftain as the May e-news will be in the hands of Marietta. As we both countdown to the handover, I want to say what an absolute privilege it has been to hold the title of chieftain of the St Andrew’s Society. With every chieftain comes the weight of responsibility to keep our little society flourishing, and I look forward to playing a supporting role come the AGM.
There are too many highs in the past year to list, but the Burns Supper is always a favourite. This year’s was extra special for having so many of our committee taking to the stage.
So what else have you got to look forward to from us? Well, there is the ceilidh on the 4th March, lassies night at the theatre on 10th March, Trainspotting 2 on the 15th March, the rugby 7s over Easter weekend and the AGM and Brain of St Andrew’s Quiz at the end of April.
Hope to see you before I begin my retirement!
Elaine
