Good customer, Brendan braved the horrible conditions on Sunday and reaped the rewards while fishing with his good mate Ben. The pair put on a show and landed 6 reds to 6kg with a table sized gummy in the mix.

Sean Grant headed out last week in search of some snapper and wasn’t disappointed when he landed this 9kg beast. Sean’s snapper looks quite pale but a fantastic specimen nevertheless!

Adam Little landed his first snapper this week and there is no better way to open the account than with a beautiful 7.4kg specimen! Adam reports his new Shimano Socorro held up to the test sensationally and his good friend Gian did an excellent job on the net!

This quality snapper was landed by Mick Ingram while fishing out from Grantville this week. Mick reports that he had his whiting rod hanging over the side and this 7.4kg red decided to take the lightest rod out! Thankfully Mick had plenty of 10lb mono! Great fish mate!

How’s this for an odd catch?! Hilal Assafiri landed this whopping 8.5kg eel while fishing for snapper over the weekend. Not the targeted species, but pretty cool nevertheless!

The squid went off this week from the Flinders pier by the sound of things! Adam Mavro landed this beauty with a 43cm hood! Love ya work mate!

Another one from Flinders! Jarrod Powis managed this squid just as Fisheries pulled him up to see his license, however they were more than happy to see this big squid peel off some line, they even helped Jarrod gaff it and took a couple of happy snaps!

Last Monday, Laura and Amelia headed out from Clifton Springs with their dad and grandmother in search of a feed of calamari and before long they had a magnificent bag on board. Red and green jigs were the stand out.

Michael O’Connell from the Police Angling Club caught this 5.5kg snapper while fishing off Williamstown on Friday Morning. Great to see the bay heating up, well done mate!

How’s this for an epic land-based snapper?! Jeremy Murrell landed this 10.5kg cracker while fishing the stones at Port Melbourne. Fresh pilchard got the job done for Jeremy. Congratulations mate!

Newly appointed Shimano Rep, Wayne Friebe ventured out on Friday afternoon with his deckie from Tackle World Mornington, Adam Ring. The boys had an epic session on the pinkies with countless amounts of 3kg fish landed on soft plastics out from Ricketts Point. This specimen was taken on a Zman plastic, however, the squidgy whip baits got a fair workout!

Well there has been no lack of snapper aboard Matt Cini’s Reel Time Fishing Charters when the weather has played the game! Matt had a pretty strong week on the Port Phillip Snapper with fish weighing up to 7kg.

Simon Peake managed to get out on Friday and with hardly a single trailer in the car park at Carrum, he had the whole place to himself! Simon sounded some fish in 17m of water and within no time had this one in the boat!

Hats off to Fisheries for leaving Lake Eildon open to Cod fishing because the quality of fish that it has been producing is phenomenal! Heath from Buxton landed this chunky 84cm 36kg model which was put back to fight another day. Quality fish mate!
