AROUND THE STATE
BLUE ROCK LAKE
img
img
The State Government yesterday announced the removal of restrictions on boat size and horsepower at Blue Rock Lake, something we have been asking for, for many years. To celebrate, Fisheries Victoria released 12 tagged Bass into the lake. If you catch one of the tagged Bass, you will share in $2,000 worth of prizes.

Bass and trout have been stocked into Blue Rock for more than a decade; there’s some cracker fish in there and now accessible with any boat. There has also been a max 15knt speed restriction placed on the lake to ensure no waterskiing or PWC’s and to keep kayaking safe. You might just see PW’s boat out on Blue Rock a bit now.
