PAUL'S FISHING
img
Paul and Casey Stoner are currently on an IFISH mission filming in Aitutaki, in the Cook Islands. Paul and Casey are catching many beautiful reef fish and have also managed to connect with some awesome GT's. Paul reports that there is nothing quite like seeing that big head and dark shape appear behind your lure ready to strike. With the lack of internet services where the boys are staying, we are struggling to get in contact with how the rest of their trip is going, but we are certainly hoping to see some pictures of some bonefish in the coming days!
KINGFISH MANIA
THE RIP
img

Matt Cini continues to dominate the kingfish in the rip and each week they seem to be getting bigger! Matt has been using the new Shimano Pelagic Nano rods in PE 3-6 and reports they are a fantastic all round rod whether it be for jigging or live baiting.

img

Mitch Bertacchini from Online Fishing Charters found his clients some kingfish madness once again this week. Here are a couple of models from his Saturday charter.

PHILLIP ISLAND
img
Congratulations to good customers of our Mornington store, Darren Hamilton-Moore and Vince Arfi. The boys had a fantastic time on the kings Sunday morning, landing these 2 monsters which weighed in at 11.8 and 14.1kg respectively. Live baits did the damage.
img
Chris, Sean, Caine and Mark had an insane session this week landing 8 kingfish all over 10kg! Live bait was the stand out for the day, but when the fish were at the back of the boat, they absolutely nailed the stick baits. Well done fellas.
img
Check out these big kings that Pieter and Danny caught on Saturday. The boys fished out of Western Port in good conditions and landed 6 fish ranging from 12kg to 15kg!
PORTLAND
img

Zen headed down to Portland this week and had a ripper session on the kings. Trolling X-Raps, Zen managed this brute of a fish which weighed in at 13.5kg.

MARLIN MAGIC!
We still cannot believe how good the Marlin season has turned out to be this year and we just received our first VICTORIAN marlin report of the season!
LAKES ENTRANCE
img
Congratulations to Tony and his crew aboard Far Out Charters. While fishing out of Lakes on Wednesday Tony raised 4 striped marlin hooked 3 and landed one around 100kg. Tony was about 65k out around the mackerel platform and was using live slimeys.
EDEN
img
Jay, Magoo and Richie couldn’t contain themselves and headed straight back to Eden on Friday for their weekly fix of marlin fishing. The boys raised 8 fish, got 4 hits and landed 3 striped marlin all around the 100kg mark. After a few quality underwater shots, the fish were released. All three fish were caught on Marlin Magics.
BERMAGUI
img
Wayne Sharrock is having much success again this week up at Bermagui nailing plenty of striped and black marlin. This has to be one of the best marlin bites we have seen in a long time, love your work Sharky. Head on over to Sharkmen Fishing Charters facebook page where Sharky has a heap of photos and a little bit of video footage of just how good the fishing has been.
img
The Pinter family have continued to make the most of the marlin bite at Bermagui. In only 1.5 days the boys raised 6, hooked 6 and landed 6 fish with one monster estimated at 140kg which was caught on 15kg and landed after a 2.5 hour fight. Well done boys!
PORT STEPHENS
img
After 17 days straight of marlin fishing off Port Stephens, Simon Rinaldi from Red Hot Fishing Charters has managed to tag almost 35 fish! If you want to catch that fish of a lifetime, then get down and on board with Simmo over the next few weeks.
WESTERN PORT
TOP END
img

Good Mornington customers, Ray and Jeff fished the top end of Western Port this week and managed a lovely bag of table sized gummies. Pilchard was the best bait.

img

Georgia Bonnett got this lovely 99cm gummy fishing with her dad Brian on Sunday. Georgia also made an appearance on Talking Fishing with this quality photo.

MIDDLE SPIT
img

YUM!! Phil and Nick got amongst the whiting once again this week on the middle spit and decided to tease us with this delicious looking photo of some quality fillets. If you want an easy way to cook up your fresh fillets, then drop into Tackleworld and try some Fog Dog beer batter, very simple, and very tasty!

STONEY POINT
img
Scott and his daughter Amelia had a great session out from Stoney Point this week landing a lovely 15kg gummy and a nice little Port Jackson shark. If you look closely, you will notice that in the background another one of Scott’s rods is buckled over with another big fish on it, but unfortunately the fish was lost while Amelia was taking a happy snap.
CORINELLA
img

Good friend of the shop, Paul Delisle got some action this week off Corinella managing a nice bag of pinkies and whiting. Paul found his whiting at Coronet Bay on the run out tide before moving over to Snapper Rock where he caught his pinkies on fresh tailor and salmon fillets.

img

Long time customer and all round nice guy Brad Thompson caught these 2 beautiful mulloway off Corinella this week. Both fish were caught on fresh calamari. Congratulations Thommo, we know how long you have waited for these unicorns of the ocean!

COWES
img
Stuart Rainbow, Glen Wassink and Kranky fished off Cowes over night this week and landed a haul of 5 gummies. The biggest fish weighed in at 16kg. The two big girls pictured were released after some quick pics.
MERRICKS

FRANKSTON

Brett had a great session off Frankston this week landing these quality snapper in about 21m of water. Silver whiting has been the best bait.

MT MARTHA
img

Aithen Lazaris headed down to Mt Martha in search of a big gummy and was not disappointed with the result. Aithen wanted to special mention Tackleworld Cranbourne staff member, Neil Drummond, who he reports put him onto the fish.

RYE
img

Team Leech headed out this week with kingfish in mind, but once they arrived at the Rip, they were met with over 120 other boats and quickly changed their tactics to whiting. After reading the Talking Fishing reports on Facebook, they headed to Rye where Tina managed a nice bag of whiting to 42cm.

AROUND THE STATE
PORTLAND
img

John caught this cracking gummy off the Lee breakwall early Monday morning. Cured eel was the best bait.

MARLO
img

Plenty of good size flatties are coming out of the Marlo area of late. This model was caught in Lake Corringle and measured 66cm which is as long as the rod that was used to catch it! Casting soft plastics has been proving to be a deadly method and the Fuze Doctor range is the ideal choice.

TAMBOON INLET
img
Frank Milito from East Gippsland charters has been fishing the Tamboon inlet this week with a few clients, one who looks quite familiar. Frank reports that good size bream are thick at the moment along with some quality flatties. Diving hard bodies like the Strada Blackheart have been doing the job on both species.
