Paul and family are back home after an amazing trip to Alaska. It was on Paul’s to do list to catch the mighty Alaskan king salmon and sockeye and the Worstelings were able to do so while dodging a few bears in between. How about the colours on these magical looking fish?! Even young Jetty got stuck into the action and to do it on fly was definitely an accomplishment. Well done guys!

The good weather was a blessing for all the charter boys over the weekend and Mitch Bertacchini from Online Fishing Charters was happy to put his customers onto plenty of school fish. Great work Mitch!

Regular customer Brendan and his best mate Ben landed this whopping Portland Barrel over the weekend. The pair battled this beast for 1.5 hours in 28m of water before bringing it back to the scales. 121.4kg was the total weight. Congrats boys!

David Goldsworthy took out his good friend Lesley on Saturday who landed this quality 3.3kg snapper from the Bouchier Channel. Lesley’s fish fell victim to a squid strip on the top of the tide.

Staff member Kallan and his old man, Geoff had a short session on the squid Sunday afternoon which paid off with a quality bag of tasty calamari. The boys fished for no longer than 45 minutes and took home 7 thumpers all landed on clicks jigs.

Young Jonah, nephew of the great Jason Portelli found the big calamari at Tyabb Bank on Sunday landing 7 beauties all of about the same size. Well done Jonah!

Peter Kasidiaris and his father, Spiro bagged out on chunky king george whiting on Friday afternoon at the Middle Spit. Fresh squid and pipis were the bait of choice.

Holy snapper! Fady Elmasry managed this cracking 10.4kg snapper out of Stoney Point on Saturday. A true 20 pounder! Well done mate!

According the Shaun Furtiere from Think Big Fishing Charters, there is no lack of gummy sharks in the Port! Jeremy Phey was stoked with this beauty caught last Saturday!

Good customer Peter Vink had a stella day out on the water managing some quality gummies and a fantastic feed of flatties. Pete was fishing out from Kilcunda where he produced this lovely feed.

Last Sunday, Kozzi and Huff went to Flinders where they picked up some squid before heading offshore and turning the fresh heads into the cracking gummy. The boys were in about 45m of water out from Seal Rock

John Regali had a successful weekend on the Maribyrnong River managing over 20 bream to 38cm. Great work John.

Good customer, Daniel Griffin spent Friday afternoon on the Patto and landed some decent bream in some dirty water. All fish were taken on Zman Grubz.

Jayson Turner from Pro Red Fishing Charters was due for a big winter snapper and he definitely delivered landing this 7.89kg monster in Port Phillip over the weekend. Well done mate!

It’s good to see Matt Cini from Reel Time fishing Charters getting out amongst the winter whiting and calamari on Port Phillip. Matt reports there are no lack of fish and they are all nice and fat this time of the year!

Good friend of the shop, Paul Delisle headed to Lake Tyers and the Tambo over the weekend where he pulled some quality bream. Paul managed fish on both bait and lures with the stand out being vibes.
