Congratulations to young Lochie Wilson who is this week’s “catch of the week”. Lochie wasn’t the one catching, but he was happy to sit aside and watch his father catch his PB. Lochie’s words were, “Dad helped by catching it, Pop helped by netting it and I helped by staying out of the way!” It’s great to get the kids involved and even better seeing the smile on their face. Well done Lochie!

On Paul’s recent trip to Darwin, there were definitely no shortages of fish aboard Arafura Bluewater Charters. The crew traveled over 350km out to sea, but the miles were definitely worth it when they were rewarded with the quality and quantity of fish that was landed. Paul had a blast fishing the reefs with metal jigs and bottom bashing at night when he pulled up a range of species including the prehistoric looking gemfish! Paul reported that reef fishing has come a long way since the jigging scene has really taken off, big fish on light gear is insanely rewarding!
