Paul fished with Tackle World Mornington staff member Gerry Morsman last week for a land based episode of IFISH TV. The boys found some very nice bream using scrub worms and yabbies for bait. Keep your eyes peeled for this episode, coming to IFISH TV soon.

Kalani and his dad went fishing on Sunday with friends Jock and Blake and caught a handful of nice sized King George whiting around the Tooradin Channel. This one was 42cm and one of the biggest. Pipi, mussel and sand worm are working a treat on the whiting at the moment.

Steve Randall fished for whiting on Thursday but struggled to find them. So he threw out a snapper bait to see how he’d go in 17m of water. 20 minutes later he landed this beast. It weighed 10kg on the dot and was 97cm long.
TOP END

Dave Standing and Brendan Wing have been into the snapper all week and have found some great size fish in the North arm. This cracker went 8.45 kg and took a fresh squid head.

Staff member Don Newman fished Western Port with his mate Andrew and managed 4 snapper to 4.8kg. Pilchards were the best bait fishing in 8m of water.

Jahron Ostrom landed this 80cm snapper fishing the top end of Western Port toward the end of last week. Perfect conditions on the Port made life easier for a lot of anglers.

Tom landed this cracker of a snapper on pilchards fishing the top end of the Port this week. It measured 86cm and weighed 9kg.
JOES ISLAND

Robin Guymer pulled in his PB snapper this week from the back of Joes Island. It weighed in at 4.4kg. Squid baits did the damage.

Tunjay and Ryza fished on Sunday and landed this 7.8kg snapper in tough windy conditions near Joes Island. Fresh squid did the damage.

9 year old Corey caught these two big snapper just out from Lysaughts on Saturday arvo. You can see the excitement in his face!!!

Customers Huff and Kozzi had a great day fishing off Hastings on Saturday with a mixed bag of whiting, snapper, trevally, flathead and salmon. Burley was key to getting the fish around the area.
TORTOISE HEAD

Rysa fished the Tortoise Head bank on Thursday night and was stoked to land this 51cm King George Whiting. Pipi and squid baits are the best baits in the area at the moment.
SOMERS

Staff member Don Newman and his mate Andrew also hit up the Somers/Balnarring area for a couple of lovely gummy sharks to 6kg. Fresh squid was the best bait for the gummies and they also picked up a few nice whiting in the same area.
COWES

Tim caught this monster 63cm flathead in the main channel out the front of Cowes pier in 15m of water on a snapper snatcher. A nice surprise catch indeed!!

Vern Cribb and his mate Nick landed a very nice gummy shark this week fishing out of Rhyll. Fresh squid was the desired bait of choice.

Kerrie Methers and her father fished together for the first time catching snapper to 5kg. They fished in 16m out from Seaford and used squid as bait.

Phil Shannon displays a lovely snapper taken in 13.5m of water off Seaford on a soft plastic. Squidgies Pro Range Whip Bait was the lure that did the damage. The fish weighed 6.4kg and was landed on 4lb braid.

Jörg fished in 20m of water straight out from Carrum late last week and 1 hour after the high tide landed this 70cm snapper.

Grant fished out of Carrum this week with his boys Bailey and Cooper and they managed 5 snapper around 2-3kg. Pilchard and silver whiting were best baits.

Our good mate Rentlo has been getting plenty of fish this week ranging from 3-7kg. Fishing in 14-18m, Rentlo has been finding pilchard, squid and silver whiting the preferred baits.

John fished off Black Rock in 14m of water and landed this 6kg snapper. He reports pilchards were the best bait by far.

Patrick Barbara caught his PB snapper at P2 out of Altona late last week. It weighed 9.4kg and measured 92cm and took a pilchard bait. After multiple screaming runs he landed the beast.

Corey Clemente caught this 5.2kg snapper in front of the Williamstown football ground in his tinnie with his dad. Pilchard baits were working the best that day.

Young Gabrielle caught this black bream on a tube worm out of the Werribee River. The bream measured 41cm and proud dad Roy reports she did most of the work all by herself!

Frank Milito from East Gippsland Fishing Charters has been getting amongst the bream once again this week using soft plastics and hard bodies. Most systems are fishing well and there are reportedly some big flatties to be targeted in Lake Tyers.
