Who would have thought you would ever see the day when you could catch Barramundi in Victoria!!
Well that day came on December 9, 2016 and eager anglers lined up for their chance in Victoria’s first ‘barra’ bonanza.
In April 2016, Fisheries Victoria put 7000 of these incredible sportsfish in the Hazelwood Pondage, Morwell, which is kept warm by the Hazelwood Power Station .. and they thrived.
In this awesome IFISH episode on Sunday at 5.30pm on ONE, Paul is joined by FutureFish Foundation’s, David Kramer, as they team up and go in search of the elusive, iconic Aussie species, the mighty Barramundi.
It’s a picture perfect day on the Pondage and the boys are hoping to see ‘chrome’ come up through the water. A sight Paul never tires of seeing!
