Pat Ellaby spent a couple of days on the Port last week and was rewarded with a beautiful gummy and Pat’s first snapper for the season. Love ya work mate!

Kozzi and Huff ventured out to Lysaughts last week with snapper on their mind but after struggling to locate the reds, the boys were able to conjure up some beautiful whiting to 44cm.

Shaun Furtiere from Think Big Fishing Charters is still dominating Western Port with plenty more snapper landed this past week. Regular client, Alan Tran landed this beauty in some superb conditions.

Dean O’Keefe landed his PB snapper while fishing with his good mate David on Monday. The top end of the Port is definitely fishing quite well and this lovely specimen was caught using a fresh salmon fillet. Great work fellas!

Chris Bentley snuck out this week and was happy to report that he landed his first snapper of the season while fishing near San Remo.

Cameron couldn’t wipe the smile off his face when holding his dad and pop’s 128cm gummy taken out of the Western Entrance on Friday night. Cameron quite enjoyed the fresh flake too!

This goes to show you don’t need big boats to catch good fish! Peter Ritchie ventured out from Ricketts Point this week and managed these quality snapper throwing soft plastics from his kayak. Well done mate!

Jayson Turner put his clients onto some cracking fish this week with plenty of reds to 6kg landed. Jayson reports that pilchards and squid are working the best in 16 - 20m out from Carrum.

Matt Cini from Reel Time Fishing Charters has been putting a descent dent into the local Carrum snapper population with plenty of big fish landed this week. Silver whiting and pilchards have been the stand out baits.

The boys from Sharkmen Fishing Charters aren’t having any troubles with finding fish and it seems that the majority of their fish are big!

Colin Sires fished in some windy conditions on Tuesday but reaped the rewards with this quality pair of snapper out from Carrum. Both fish weighed around 7kg. Well done Colin!

Jovan Pageot got stuck into the snapper last week and reports that there is a healthy array of fish out from Mornington which don’t mind the old silver whiting. Lovely work mate!

Young Darcy Wallace caught this lovely little snapper while fishing from the Mornington Pier this week. It’s great to see the land-based guys amongst the action!

Congratulations to Mornington staff member, Harry Bould on his first land based snapper. Harry was fishing the rocks at Mornington with Octopus and landed this lovely fish estimated around 6kg. Great job mate and well worth the effort you have put in.

Byron Singleton landed this chunky rainbow trout on his very first cast for the day while fishing the Eildon Pondage on Sunday. It is fair to say that Byron’s favourite lure is now a pink Tassie Devil after this one!

Tylen and Chiara Renzella spent “Gone Fishing Day” down at Casey Fields and landed several rainbow trout on their brand new Tacklerat Rods. Great work kids!

The Mitchell River has been a stand out for bream after some of the heavy rains we have had lately. Adam Bloem landed this chunky 2.5lb model near Bairnsdale.

Ebony Phipps landed her very first fish on a soft plastic while fishing at Lake Tyers with the family over the weekend. Ebony was very pleased with her catch and so she should be!

Staff member, Don Newman headed to Bemm River this week with a few mates from the retirement village and landed some cracking bream in the River with this model weighing in excess of 1kg. Great stuff Don!
