Shaun Monckton landed this beast of a snapper while fishing at Corinella after work last Wednesday. Shaun’s snapper measured 89cm. Well done mate!

Chris and Michael O’Connell ventured out for an early season red and weren’t disappointed with 2 fish at 66 and 76cm on the run out tide. The boys report that squid and strangely enough, a piece of flathead were the 2 baits that landed their fish.

How about that for a monster squid! Spiros landed this beauty while fishing out from Flinders over the weekend. Red foiled jigs were the stand out. Well done mate!

Alan Bonici is back in the reports this week with some more quality bream from the Nong. This specimen fell victim to an un-weighted scrub worm.

The northern end of Port Phillip is definitely starting to fire as the snapper season begins to warm up. Con Panayides, Michael Kaos, Rocky Pasceri and Terry Paris landed this 7.6 kg snapper in 6 meters of water off Williamstown. Lovely early season red, well done fellas!

Mark Marbani managed these healthy snapper while fishing between St Kilda and Brighton this week. Mark’s fish weighed 4.3 and 3.9kg respectively and were both taken on fresh pilchards.

There has been some cracking snapper coming from Port Phillip this week and none better than this 6.5kg model landed by Luke from the Brighton break wall over the weekend. Luke is 6ft 4 so don't be fooled by the photo! Amazing effort land-based mate!

Good customer Daniel Griffin pulled out some cracking bream from the Patto over the weekend. Cranka crabs were the stand out lure in the dirty water.

Dylan Boyle and his young fella Austin headed out from Mornington this week and brought mum home a good feed of calamari. Darker coloured jigs were the go.

Matt Cini from Reel Time Fishing Charters has been having good success along the Peninsula with plenty of calamari landed as well as some good numbers of whiting. Hayabussa squid jigs are dominating the local squid population!

Brian Rinaldi popped into the shop on Sunday after catching this whopping squid at Blairgowrie in the morning. You will get a few decent rings off that thing! Well done mate.

Anglers are taking advantage of the brood stock of trout been released into the Eildon Pondage and have been landing some top quality fish! Jackson Kafkis landed this beautiful 55cm rainbow on rainbow powerbait.

Staff members Garry and Gerry headed up to the Goulburn with the families for a weekend getaway with the boys sneaking in a bit of a fish. Gaz and Gerry managed some beautiful browns and rainbows flicking around Jackson Athlete lures. Well done lads.

Stan Hughes headed to Millbrook Lakes where he fished with his guide, Jim Jackman who put him onto the fish. Stan managed this 5.5lb rainbow trout on fly which made it a successful outing.

Aaron Wilson landed this chunky yellowbelly while fishing with his good mate Darren Wloch at Lake Eppalock over the weekend. Aaron found his success casting soft plastics thick into the timber. The boys also report massive soundings of redfin.

Frank Milito from East Gippsland Fishing Charters has been nailing some quality bream for some happy customers this week. The water has been quite dirty with all the run but the fish didn’t seem to mind!
