Jai fished with his dad and good friend Steve on Sunday evening in the Tooradin Channel. They caught whiting from 32cm to 42cm
Kalani O’Connor caught this beautiful big flathead fishing the Tooradin Channel this week.
Customers Kozzi & Huff had another good day on Sunday in Western Port with a mixed bag of whiting, pinkies, trevally, snook and flathead. They report the fish were going nuts and even the whiting were taking pilchard cubes.
Chris and Michael O’Connell from Victoria Police Club caught 25 quality King George Whiting out from Hastings. All fish were over 40cm and caught in 16m of water on Californian Squid.
Bob Hee took son Michael and son in law Denis to the Western Entrance at Western Port and landed this 10kg gummy shark using a fresh salmon fillet as bait.
Good customer Dan Pieper had a cracker day out with his bride to be fishing around Coronet Bay. They caught whiting, leatherjacket and also some very nice squid using IKA jigs.
PORT PHILLIP BAY
Glen Martin caught this snapper in 22m of water off Mornington on the turn of the tide on Sunday. The fish took a small silver whiting and Glen reports he burlied hard for an hour before the action started. He ended up with 3 nice snapper.
Sam Virga caught this 5kg snapper while fishing in deep water off Mornington this week.
Jozef and his dad fished Point Cook on Sunday and came home with a nice gummy shark and a very nice feed of flathead.
Jake Cutajar and Dylan Curran fished off Point Cook on Sunday morning. They got amongst plenty of King George Whiting to 35cm. All fish were caught on the run out tide. After a couple of moves and plenty of burley, the guys didn’t have trouble catching their bag limit.
AROUND THE STATE
Young Brodie Dennehy caught this cool looking little hammerhead shark with dad while fishing out of Port Welshpool this week.
John and Frank caught this school shark off Wonthaggi this week using a salmon head as bait.
Kristina Pezos was very happy with her rainbow trout she caught on powerbait over the weekend while fishing Emerald Lake.
Adrian was trolling a pink Tassie Devil Lake Wendouree on Monday and caught this 56cm, 2kg Brown Trout.
Jamie Townsing fished the Murray River at Echuca this week and landed a 90cm Cod amongst some timber using a bardi grub for bait.
Isabella and her parents camped at Tamboon Inlet last weekend. Isabella was casting a StrikePro surface lure from the sand and nearly got pulled in when she hooked this 65cm flathead. She landed it and released it all by herself.
OUT OF TOWN
Jim Cross from Geelong is holidaying in Merimbula at the moment and while fishing the lake, managed this magnificent flathead on a soft plastic. Just on 80cm, Jim said is it a fish of a lifetime for him and he made sure he released it to fight another day.
Young Angus caught his first Mangrove Jack this week up north using a yabbie for bait.
