PAUL’S FISHING

Paul has been in FIJI and he was involved in something quite special throughout the week. Fair Dinkum Sheds Australia heard news that Ratu Ilaisa Memorial School in Sigatoka were in desperate need for a computer to benefit with their students education. Fair Dinkum Sheds set up a fundraiser and were able to raise $24000 FJD to assist with the school and the community. Generous distributors bid enthusiastically for a prized seat on a fishing charter with Paul and from all reports it was a successful day! John from Sheds Out West in Dubbo was lucky enough to get his arms stretched on this beautiful dolphin fish alongside Paul!

Jetty was one happy camper and Paul was one happy father on Wednesday while fishing with the locals in Fiji form “Adrenalin Fiji”. Jet landed this lovely GT as Paul watched on as he made the cast, worked his popper, hooked up and landed this beautiful fish all by himself! The best part about fishing can often be watching someone else succeed and the happiness that their catch has brought them! Love ya work boys and well done Jet!

SHIMANO TIAGRA REELS
img
Do you own a Shimano Tiagra fishing reel manufactured pre 2015?

Shimano reports there have been a small number of isolated instances where the ratchet plate screws may work loose on some Tiagra fishing reels manufactured prior to 2015. We will have a Shimano technician in store next Monday 28th September performing free precautionary inspections and repairs to ensure peace of mind to customers and Shimano that your reel is not affected or if it is, will be repaired.

You can identify the year of manufacture by the first letter of the 2 letters stamped on the reel foot. The letter “N” indicates 2015. If the first letter is earlier than a “N”, then could you please drop your reel (removed from the rod) into Tackle World Cranbourne prior to next Monday and your reel will be inspected and ready for you to pick up on or after Tuesday 29th September.

If you can’t make it in time for next Monday, a Shimano technician will be back in store on Monday 12th October to inspect any reels left with us after next Monday.

Please give the shop a call on 5996 6500 if you need any assistance identifying if your reel requires inspection.
