Feeling Adrift? Anchor Yourself With Daily Habits

Few people would disagree that setting goals is necessary so that you can accomplish what matters to you. Big life goals are important - to achieve the kind of life and success you desire, you must decide what that looks like to you and turn that vision into goals and actions to reach them. But smaller goals are important too, and provide structure and momentum. Building productive daily habits helps anchor you with a strong foundation from which you can work towards all of your goals, large or small.

In this issue, we offer several tips for developing new habits, and a special gift of time. Whatever your goals might be, with productive daily habits established you will be well on your way towards achieving them.

Daily habits are also an important tool for optimizing your organization and productivity.

Here are 6 tips for how to anchor yourself with productive daily habits.

Organized People Have a Daily Routine

Organized people know what they want to do each day and how to get those things done. How do they do it? It’s all about planning!

In this recent post, we provide three tips for how to plan effectively for each day.

Trigger New Habits With Existing Ones

Developing new habits is a challenge, and a process. The common misconception that it takes 21 days to fully establish a new habit was based on out-of-date research from the 1860s. More recent studies show that it takes closer to 66 days to make a new habit part of your daily routine.

In this post we summarize three important things the research found helps motivate people to develop new organizational habits. We also recommend the helpful strategy of triggering a new habit with the execution of an existing one.
