Thank you to those who attended our last meeting (minutes here: tinyurl.com/MicroBurn2020JulyMinutes).
Unfortunately we made the sad decision to cancel MicroBurn 2020. Gatherings the size of ours are not currently permitted in Wales, and it doesn't look like the situation is going to change any time soon. Even if it were, our first priorty is of course the health and wellbeing of all MicroBurners, their households and communities, and of course those who live at the Farm.
Fortunately the Farm have been very understanding and flexible while we made this decision, and because of this, aside from our annual overheads, MicroBurn won't suffer financially from this decision. We are also keeping an open mind about the posibility of fundraising or other events that could take place in the earlier part of next year if the current situation has improved by then.
It is with great sadness that we make this decision, and we know how important the glimmer of hope that MB2020 might go ahead has been to many people over the last few, difficult months. We must all wait a bit longer to be reunited in that sunny valley, but when we do it will be more than worth the long wait.
Look after yourselves and each other, and we hope to see you in 2021!
Michelle, on behalf of MicroBurn HQ
