As we approach the end of 2021, we recognize the great number of worthy causes that deserve your support.
We hope you’ll agree that the PRISM Quartet’s body of work is unique and essential to the field of new music. Please consider supporting our ambitious range of programming, which has evolved since our founding in 1984 to include:
SELF-PRODUCED CONCERT SERIES: spotlighting new commissions and collaborations in New York, Philadelphia, and Southeast Michigan
COMMISSIONS: composers at all career stages, from diverse backgrounds, representing many ways of creating music
COLLABORATIONS: with the nation’s leading classical, experimental, and jazz artists and ensembles
PRISM QUARTET INSTITUTE: free educational programs for aspiring artists from ages 8 to 88 in Teaching and Pedagogy; Business and Entrepreneurship; Recording and Technology; Composition; and Mentorship.
XAS RECORDS: PRISM’s very own label, distributed by Symphonic, with 14 releases and counting
TOURING: sharing PRISM’s commissions with audiences throughout the US and around the world
We’re ecstatic to have resumed live performances this fall. We’ve already collaborated with jazz greats Melissa Aldana, Chris Potter, Rudresh Mahanthappa, and Terell Stafford for our Heritage/Evolution project. We are looking forward to much more in the coming months, including the premiere of Mending Wall in February, featuring new commissions from Martin Bresnick, George E. Lewis, Juri Seo, and Arturo O’Farrill.
Support from individual donors like you has enabled PRISM to make important contributions to the field, and to our community. We invite you to become an integral part of PRISM’s activities by making a tax-deductible donation to our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, PRISM Quartet, Inc.
Our sincere thanks for your consideration.
