A note from Manisha...

Dear <<First Name>>,

Imagine watching a suspense movie and getting totally absorbed in the drama unfolding in front of you. You identify with the main character and when he feels anxious, you feel anxious; when he suffers a loss or gain, you feel sad or elated. 
Even though it’s just a movie and the character you see on the screen is only an actor playing a temporary part, you forget it all and ride along the emotional highs and lows of the story. 
This happens because you’ve identified with the main character of the story. 
Similarly, you and I have so totally identified with our personal identities, roles, desires, challenges and life that we suffer the constant changes, and ups and downs that we go through.  
To overcome the changes and challenges, we have to shift our focus and connect with our true Self–the spiritual essence that we are. 
This is the subject of my latest blog post, 5 Pointers to Connect to Your True Self.
These pointers indicate where to turn your mind’s attention and are best applied during your meditation practice. This is when the mind is relatively calm and more receptive to imbibing spiritual ideas. 
But, even just reading 5 Pointers to Connect to Your True Self can help to calm your mind and bring a relative peace. I myself enjoyed writing this article and felt uplifted from doing so. Read it here.
