A note from Manisha...

Dear <<First Name>>,
Real, enduring peace cannot be brought into your mind from the outer world. Even if you entered an exquisitely beautiful garden that stills your mind, the peace that you feel wouldn’t last. When you leave the garden, your old worries and stresses would slowly creep back into your mind.

Peace of mind comes from learning and understanding the nature of things and life and applying it in your own life. Peace of mind has to be slowly and patiently cultivated over time.
In my latest blog post, Hints for Peaceful Living, I share that there are three broad areas of life that upset our inner peace:
  • The appearance and condition of our body and mind
  • The people in our life
  • Things and circumstances.
One of the things I explain in the article is a way in which we can soothe our fears of losing our physical beauty and strength as we age by substituting it with something more enduring.

In the article, I mention that relationships play a vital role in providing us the opportunities to bring out the beauty of the Self within. The two relationship spoilers are our ego and attachmentsRead how to relate to people in your life and promote peaceful living.

We are souls on an evolutionary journey traversing many lifetimes. Learning how to live and relate to our bodies, people, things and circumstances is the key to peaceful living. Click here to read the article.

If you are in the US, wishing you a wonderful get-together with your family for Thanksgiving!

"See" you in two weeks.

Warmly, Manisha

Spirituality is self-mastery–not mastery over the world but mastery within ourselves so that under all circumstances we try to remain as equipoised as possible. —Swami Chinmayananda

Peaceful living is living with the wisdom that life and all things are impermanent.
