Between the Towers” in Frankfurt am Main on April 7, 2015
On March 3rd “Between the Towers. FinTechCity_Frankfurt” event series welcomed the FinTech community again. The event series, organized by main incubator, was initiated in order to strengthen continental Europe’s FinTech-ecosystem. Every first Tuesday of each month FinTech-startups, investors, corporates and academics are brought together and exposed to technical and professional knowhow, in order to network and evolve the FinTech scene together. Florian Schweitzer, partner at b-to-v Partners AG, held the keynote speech at the March event. Looking back to this event and its inspiring networking moments: Frankfurt, as the financial capital of Germany, is clearly becoming a relevant and crucial Hotspot for FinTechs in Europe. Events like “Between the Towers” offer therefore an excellent opportunity to meet on a monthly basis great FinTech entrepreneurs, such as Debitos and CRX Markets AG, and FinTech friends. This is why “Between the Towers” is for everyone hungry for networking and knowledge about the FinTech scene.
The upcoming event is on April 7th with a keynote speech by Robert Hibner, Director of Digital Channels and Digital Media at mBank in Poland. And four startups, WIR Finanzierer GmbH, AUTHADA with Secco, CashCloud AG and eploy GmbH, will be pitching. Anyone who cannot make it in April, will have another chance on May 5th to the topic of FinTechs and IT security.
Last but not least, from a b-to-v point of view Frankfurt is an important center of gravity in Europe, hence we organized the very first b-to-v investor’s meeting on 9th of July in the Rhein-Main metropolis. In contrary to other meetings of this kind, we invite you to spend the entire day with us. Further information are yet to be provided.

If you are interested, please contact Dr. Solveig Köbernick.

b-to-v Private Investment Academy (Module II) in Ermatingen on April 15-17, 2015
The b-to-v Private Investment Academy is a series of events at the Schloss Wolfsberg in Ermatingen at the Lake of Constance. In the course of the series of events different aspects of direct investments in young companies are addressed. The first module of the Academy (taking place in October and December 2015) offers an overview with regard to the typical investment process for an investment in a company during start-up or growth stage. During the second module of the Academy we would like to delve deeper into specific topics of the first module. Accordingly, the second module is designed for former participants of the first module as well as more experienced investors. The second module will deal with experiences based on real investment deals taken from the b-to-v portfolio. In retrospect, members of the b-to-v team will illustrate the individual steps of the investment process (screening, negotiation, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, investment phase, exit). We will in particular touch on the challenges along the company's development path and reflect our past decisions. The Academy is rounded off with live presentations of start-up teams as well as experience sharing with a seasoned business angel. Please contact Andrea Rogg for more information.

In 2015, we plan to pay another visit to New York and we invite the b-to-v members and selected guests from the b-to-v network to join us on that trip. This time we teamed up with DLD and our agenda will be centered around the DLDnyc and several private networking events organized by b-to-v.
If you are interested to participate and/or need additional information, please contact Andrea Rogg.
