Florian Schweitzer as keynote at “Between the Towers” in Frankfurt am Main on March 3, 2015
In March 2014 Commerzbank started its own FinTech incubator - main incubator. Since its start the team has noticed that there is no city in continental Europe in which the FinTech-Startup scene can meet, exchange and mutually develop and is also financed at the same time. Frankfurt meets all of these requirements: Due to its know-how in business and banking as well as IT and science, Frankfurt offers excellent conditions to become continental Europe’s center for the innovative start-up scene within the financial services industry.
Therefore main incubator launched an initiative to establish Frankfurt as the heart of continental Europe’s FinTech scene in October 2014: Between the Towers. FinTechCity Frankfurt. The format is a series of monthly evening events at which start-ups, start-up financiers, corporates and academics are brought together, are provided with technical and professional information and are given the possibility to network. Since February 2015 they are located on Campus Westend of Frankfurt’s Goethe University. On their next event on March 3rd Florian Schweitzer will be the keynote speaker and talk on “Founder Personality”.

If you are interested, please contact Dr. Solveig Köbernick.

b-to-v Private Investment Academy (Module II) in Ermatingen on April 15-17, 2015
The b-to-v Private Investment Academy is a series of events at the Schloss Wolfsberg in Ermatingen at the Lake of Constance. In the course of the series of events different aspects of direct investments in young companies are addressed. The first module of the Academy (taking place in October and December 2015) offers an overview with regard to the typical investment process for an investment in a company during start-up or growth stage. During the second module of the Academy we would like to delve deeper into specific topics of the first module. Accordingly, the second module is designed for former participants of the first module as well as more experienced investors. The second module will deal with experiences based on real investment deals taken from the b-to-v portfolio. In retrospect, members of the b-to-v team will illustrate the individual steps of the investment process (screening, negotiation, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, investment phase, exit). We will in particular touch on the challenges along the company's development path and reflect our past decisions. The Academy is rounded off with live presentations of start-up teams as well as experience sharing with a seasoned business angel. Please contact Andrea Rogg for more information.
