This Week @ Into Games - September #2

Hello everyone 👋

Welcome back to another Into Games Newsletter! It’s starting to get a lot chillier here in the UK - so different from the Summer heatwave we had! 😲

Bundle up and let’s get started 👇

Highlights

👉 Parents Evening with Into Games and Creative Assembly
23rd September 2022, 19:30PM - 21:00PM BST, Online

Tomorrow, Into Games and Creative Assembly are hosting a free YouTube Live event to help parents, carers, guardians, and careers advisors learn more about the jobs available in the games industry - and how you can support young people towards getting a job in the industry.

This particular event will focus on programming, and other related roles, as part of National Coding Week. Consider sharing this with your parents or carer and invite them to join us, and also come along yourself if you want to learn more about coding-related roles in games!

🌟 We’re partnering with WASD Careers!

We’re going to be helping curate WASD’s upcoming event on the 17th-18th of November, ensuring that we utilise our studio partners and connections to provide relevant, educational content for career seekers looking to work in games.

From our booth on the show floor, we'll also help those interested in working in the industry with personal meetings. Keep reading this newsletter, or the blog linked above to learn more about this event and partnership!

With EGX happening tomorrow, and other big events such as WASD Careers coming up, take a look at our guide on how to network as someone who is introverted, to ensure you’re not only prepared but also more comfortable and confident in yourself.
