Inspire students with a careers talk in Oxford!
🙋 Volunteer in-person!

Do you live near Oxford? Activate Learning are looking for some VGAs to speak to their students about their role in the industry, tell them what work you undertake, and give them a few pointers on what skills to sharpen in order to land a similar role! 

This could take place at any point between the 12th and 16th of September, so sign up above!
 
Fast Trackers is a brand new Into Games program that will support 30 talented programmers from underrepresented groups through a 2 week long C++ Games Programming boot camp. 

As a part of this, we’re looking for volunteers to take part in a series of one-hour long "fireside" style Q&As with a member of the Into Games team, on the Into Games Discord Server - to give candidates the opportunity to speak directly with games talent working in the roles they're aspiring to. 

These sessions are taking place every day from August 29th to September 9th - please take a look at the opportunity above for loads more info!

 

Got experience in Community Management or Marketing? Help us by becoming a mock interviewer for prospective Community Managers from underrepresented groups!

💻 Volunteer online!

On the topic of FastTrackers, our 10-week course for community managers is already underway! Our cohort of prospective CMs are already being equipped with the skills they need to go into their first role in the games industry. As part of the remaining program, we're looking for people with either Community Management, Marketing, Comms, PR, or Hiring experience to help us with both virtual and in-person mock interviews with the participants.

Looking for a way to get more involved and make a HUGE difference? We’re searching for volunteers to review the portfolios of our amazing IG50 Winners! 

This year, we created the Into Games 50 awards - a list of the UK’s most employable, currently unemployed games careers seekers. You can take a look at the amazing winners here!

We’re looking for volunteers to give well-thought-out, critical, inspirational and helpful portfolio reviews to our winners - so that they can use them to get out there and land some great roles in the industry!

The Women in Games Global Conference, to be held over two days on September 14th and 15th, takes its inspiration from the new Women in Games Guide – ‘Building a Fair Playing Field’, exploring in-depth issues of leadership and fairness.

Women in Games are also searching for speakers for this event!

EGX is back for four days celebrating gaming! The event will be packed full of panels, games to discover, cosplay, networking, and portfolio reviews.

W.A.S.D Careers is for anyone interested in a career in the games industry! A chance to showcase your work and chat with games companies.
