We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming art show, celebrating some of our immigrant and refugee neighbors and their journeys to Tacoma:

"A Community That Gives Back"
Featuring Works by Jonathan Hanks
Friday, April 6th (5:30-7:30pm)
1314 S. L Street, Tacoma, WA 98405

Background: Tacoma Community House has partnered with local artist Jonathan Hanks with the goal of helping immigrant and refugee community members share their stories. For the past several months Hanks has been interviewing these individuals, painting portraits, and creating mesmerizing time-lapse videos of the whole process (with more videos to come).

Participants come from all over the world – such as China, Cambodia, Mexico, Vietnam, and Laos. A few are long-time TCH team members!

We hope you can join us at Tacoma Community House on Friday, April 6th to meet Hanks and some of the participants, and see these stunning works in person! We will also enjoy refreshments and wonderful conversation.
