Monday! Girls to the Front - Catriona Sturton, Eniid and Julie Corrigan
View this email in your browser

You won't soon forget the engaging performance of Catriona Sturton. Whether she's playing heavy on her electric guitar, blowing sweetness from her harmonica or making you laugh and then cry, you'll leave wanting to hear a little more from this troubadour who calls Ottawa home.

Eniid brings a hush to a room when she starts to sing. She brings her own loving and tender touch to some of your best-loved Joni Mitchell songs and her own songs carry her heart too. Here's another performer we're lucky to call one of Ottawa's own...even though she lives up in the hills of Wakefield.

Rounding out the circle is Girls to the Front host Julie Corrigan. Come hear her new songs. I dare you to pick just one as your new favourite.

Shows to mark on your calendar, and better purchase tickets for ahead of time...

Ron Mills: Duff Road Album Release Party at Avant Garde, 135 Besserer St, Ottawa

It's been too long a wait for this wonderful album release. Shortly after completing the album last fall, Ron had an accident in the kitchen and cut his guitar playing hand. Time has been kind and his hand has finally healed. The music is bursting to pour forth.

He's a treasure of a singer-songwriter - witty, caring and humble, and he makes GREAT music!! This show is a must on your to-do list!!

The Avant Garde is a cozy little place so best to arrive early for this one!

Sunday, April 2
Luke Nicholson with Ali McCormick opening, The Black Sheep Inn, 4:20 pm

Luke brings songs his soon to be released album to share with us, Shape and Sound. You may have heard the song, All Your Dresses on the radio. It's the first single from the new album and it's getting lots of airplay. Come here what else he has in store.

Ali McCormick melts my heart and lifts me up every time I see her performing. She's got a wonderful catalogue of original songs that gets deeper all the time. A little birdie told me there might be a couple of new Ali tunes finding the light of the stage at this show, if she's had enough time away from helping with the sheep sheering that is. Come see for yourself!

Saturday, April 8th
Lynne Hanson Album Release Party at The Black Sheep Inn, 8:30 pm (doors 7 pm), with River City Junction, $15 in advance

Lynne Hanson and The Good Intentions bring Lynne's 6th studio album, Uneven Ground, out to play. It's already garnering some great reviews. i think it's her strongest and best album so far. All of that and River City Junction too! Ticket sales are already going well so make sure you get your tickets ahead of time. Don't be disappointed!

A rich blend of old school Chicago Blues, Motown, and Classic Rock, their music forms a very potent sonic cocktail that is raw, organic and uplifting.
