Successful Airports Workshop & AGM Held in Nanaimo
The Annual BCAC Airport's Workshop and Annual General Meeting (AGM) was hosted this year in Nanaimo, B.C. The three day conference featured sessions on airport funding, non-aeronautical revenue streams, increased security demands, master planning, and training. Over 100 aviation executives from all across B.C. gathered to share ideas, connect with other airports and aviation professionals, and learn best practices.

The conference featured three keynote speakers, Craig Richmond - CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority, The Honourable Todd Stone- B.C. Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Ferio Pugliese - CEO of WestJet Encore. BCAC Scholarship & Industry Awards

Nominations due May 31, 2016

BCAC Scholarships, new scholarship recently added from Conair Group
BC Aviation Council members recognize the financial pressures students face when pursuing studies in aviation and aerospace.  The Council is pleased to provide the opportunity to present a number of scholarships on an annual basis.

Students actively pursuing studies in the following fields can apply for cash awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.
  • Commercial Pilot
  • Aviation Maintenance 
  • Airport Operations
  • Private Pilot
  • Flight Instructor 

BCAC Industry Awards

Nominations for BCAC Industry Awards can be submitted year round but must be in to our office no later than May 31 each year in order to be considered for the current year. Awards will be presented at the annual Silver Wings Awards event scheduled for October 26th this year at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

Fill out the nomination form and recognize BC aviation talent. We live in the best province and have some exceptional aviators so please nominate them for recognition by their peers.

27th Annual Canadian Airline Investment Forum: June 14-15, Toronto, ON



Be part of the dialogue between key stakeholders and decision-makers from Canada’s Aviation Industry as they gather to tackle the most crucial issues that affect aviation finance and the future of Canadian aviation.

This June 14-15, the biggest players and decision-makers in Canada’s aviation industry will gather in Toronto at the 27th Canadian Airline Investment Forum. Senior executives from Airlines, Aircraft Manufacturers, and Financial Institutions will converge to discuss innovative strategies that are being employed for greater growth, network and profitability.

BC Air Cadet League of Canada Sunset Dinner Cruise: June 17, Vancouver, BC 

Hosted by the ACLC, BC Provincial Committee as we celebrate the 75thAnniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program.

The Queen of Diamonds Cruise ship will leave the dock at the Plaza of Nations in downtown Vancouver, at 6:30 pm on June 17th 2016. (Boarding commences at 5:30 pm). The cruise ends at the RiverRock Hotel in Richmond. Enjoy a 3 hour cruise that includes a lovely buffet dinner of baron of beef, and filet of salmon.  A cash bar will be available and there will be live music.  Dress is business casual.
