CSC Calgary Chapter Monthly Mtg.

Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Please join us for a conversation with the Calgary Construction Association’s Bill Black (President) and Terrence Patrick (Director, Business Development) with regards to our industry as a whole.  The evening’s discussion will look at some of the challenges, symptoms, causes and risks of a status quo mindset and then discuss the collective role of associations and other stakeholders in influencing our collective future and where we are going!  Where is our industry going? How is it going together? Is that where we want it to go? Trends, statistics, and results are important but the often look as what has already happened and they rarely provide solutions and strategy only background.  Bill Black After nearly 4 decades in the design and construction industry in a broad variety of roles and industry segments, Bill has accumulated a great deal of knowledge not only by way of his direct experiences, but also through the diverse network of industry practitioners and thought leaders that he has connected with over the years. As Chair of the Calgary Construction Association in 2018 and a Board member since 2012 Bill has been involved in the heart of our industry. As a frequent speaker at events and a member of committees and groups devoted to improving the industry, Bill is always looking for ways to add value to teams working on initiatives that will secure a bright future for the design and construction industry and inspire all key stakeholders to engage in such a mission. Terrence Patrick Terrence was born and raised in The Bronx in New York. It was not until his last year in school that he discovered his love for football and that he had a special talent in the sport. After graduating with a marketing degree from Mercyhurst University, Terrance joined the Calgary Stampeders. He would go on to play three seasons with the Stampeders and one season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Following his football career, Terrence has worked in the construction industry as a project manager and in the oil and gas industry in business controls and operations management and received his Masters of Business Administration.
