She - London
3rd – 6th October 2019, Bankside Gallery, London, SE1 9JH

This October I have a large selection of work at Art For Cure’s first London exhibition at Bankside Gallery SE1, next to Tate Modern.

It will be a thrilling exhibition of painting, photography and sculpture all about the female form with contribution from many of the UK’s leading contemporary female artists, including Maggi Hambling, Henrietta Dubrey and Anita Klein.

I will be showing some new pieces including the life-size Land and Leaves below.

Art for Cure stages events and raises funds to distribute to organisations involved in researching a cure for breast cancer, as well as other organisations involved in caring for those affected by breast cancer.

Land and Leaves

Memories fade like hail
and I am as fragile as leaves.
But gathered,
as I am now,
I am as strong as the wind.
The poem, written while making the new work, seems to be about Art for Cure, the team are relentlessly inspirational. So far they have raised £700k just by their sheer energy, enthusiasm and unity.
