Twilight "Meet & Greet" House Tour

Our recent Twilight Networking Event Open House was an enjoyable evening and fun was had by all. We want to thank everyone who came out on that wet and windy night to see our latest project. There were “before” photos displayed throughout the house and guests enjoyed learning the details of the ReadyStageMove™ process in preparing this home for sale, as well as wine and refreshments (which may have been an additional inducement in taking a moment to visit.)

Thank you to RSM's™ Professional Organizer, Jean Marie Herron, of POSSE Partners LLC who provided expert tours of the home.  We are also grateful to our business associates and networking partners who came out to support us. It was a pleasure to have you there.

The RSM™ process helped to effectively deal with several of the challenges that the team faced due to moving schedules, delayed maintenance issues and upgrades including lighting, carpeting and fresh paint throughout. Maria Rini, REALTOR® for the client, recently shared the good news that the home is now under contract and estimates an early December closing date.

A Home for the Holidays

I just received an email from a reporter over at The Record, our northern New Jersey newspaper, asking for some input on selling a home during the holidays. This reminded me that there are lots of great reasons for putting a home up for sale at this time of year.
First, buyers are searching for homes all year round. And with today’s incredibly low interest rates, there has never been a better time. It is more affordable to own a home and pay a mortgage in most major markets than it is to rent. Buyers know this – and you should too.

According to the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service, more homes sold in November and December of last year than in April and May. So don’t be afraid to consider coming on the market now!

The holidays are a time of peace, love, giving and good cheer; everyone seems to be in a good mood. The holidays can also be a super time to show off the warmth and charm of your home. Decorate without overdoing it -- make it inviting -- light a fire. You get the idea.

Holidays are also a great time to stand out from the crowd, because there are usually fewer homes on the market, yours will naturally get more attention. And yes, although there may be fewer buyers in the winter, those that are out shopping for a home are highly motivated. They really want to buy and they are ready to buy NOW!
Homes show beautifully at this time of year. They should look and feel cozy and appear inviting starting with their curb appeal. This is a perfect opportunity to appeal to a buyers' dreams and aspirations. Who wouldn’t want to see themselves in a home like that?

So . . . don’t hesitate to take advantage of the Holiday Season to prepare, market and sell a home!
