Congrats to all of this year’s nominees, including Becky Buller Band member Dan Boner who is up for Mentor Of The Year. Dan is the director of the Bluegrass, Old-Time, And Country Music Studies program at East Tennessee State University.
The 2015 IBMA award show will be held October 1st at the Duke Energy Center For The Performing Arts, Memorial Auditorium in Raleigh, N.C.
The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) is the trade association that connects and educates bluegrass professionals, empowers the bluegrass community, and encourages worldwide appreciation for bluegrass music of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Summergrass
Becky and the boys will be celebrating this Friday and Saturday at the Summergrass festival in Vista, Calif., along with The Boxcars, Sideline, Bluegrass Etc., and so many other fantastic bands. There may be a special guest or two on stage with the band, so don’t miss it!
Chart Action
And there’s more radio airplay chart action to report! “Southern Flavor” has moved up to #3 in the August issue of Bluegrass Unlimited magazine while “Nothin’ To You” slipped to #14 but is celebrating 14 months on the chart. On the album side,‘Tween Earth And Sky is back up to #7.
Cashbox Magazine reports “Nothin’ To Yout” at #4 and “Southern Flavor” at #7 for August.
'Tween Earth And Sky is back up to #13 on this week's Roots Music Report chart.
“Queen Of The Mountain Bootleggers” debuted on the August BluegrassToday chart at #20 and is currently at #13 on their weekly chart.
