News on Apprenticeships
You may have heard about some changes planned by the Government to increase the number of Apprenticeship opportunities. There are direct implications for businesses with a wage bill exceeding £3 million, who will be required to pay a levy. The changes also aim to raise additional funding to support a greater number of Apprenticeships for small businesses to benefit.

Over the past few years the Chamber has worked with over 350 businesses through our Take One campaign - providing businesses with HR, recruitment and Apprenticeship advice and support.

It is has been particularly great to see so many Merton businesses supporting young (and older!) people to learn new skills, or update their skills, through Apprenticeships.
