As a small business ourselves we are going through the process and have recently published our privacy and cookie policy. We are also continuing to support businesses get to grips with what you need to do through our GDPR workshops – see below.

Merton Giving – a new partnership between Merton Council, Merton Voluntary Services Council and the Chamber of Commerce
This partnership introduces a new initiative called “Merton Giving” in the borough. Jenny O’Neill joins the Chamber and comes to the role with substantial experience of business and community links.
Jenny’s role at the Merton Chamber of Commerce builds on the previous partnership between Merton Voluntary Services Council and Merton Chamber of Commerce, where, in 2017/18, under the ‘Merton Means Business’  service, £40,000 of funding was brought into the community sector (in cash and in kind) from local businesses. The aim is to continue and build on this successful model.

 Workshop Sponsorship
"Here at Hartley Fowler we are delighted to be sponsoring the Merton Chamber Business Service Workshops. As a strong believer in the value of staff training and development we hope these series of courses will help local businesses develop their workforce.
We have been operating for over fifty years, within this time we have grown to over 50 staff across our Wimbledon, Horsham and Brighton offices. We are dedicated to providing a professional service to meet your business’s needs.

The Merton Chamber Business Service Workshops offer a fantastic opportunity for new, upcoming and established companies to interact with one another and learn new skills. On-going professional development is an essential factor throughout business and I believe it plays a huge part in the success of a company, the more developed your employees are the better service they will naturally provide, the various workshops on offer appeal to a variety of individuals. It is a great way for businesses to prominently develop their staff in a much more motivated environment in comparison to an office where they would usually undergo training.

We look forward to seeing you at a workshop soon.Julien Upson, Partner
