Canada Council New Funding Model - update
- In December 2015, the Canada Council unveiled new information about its New Funding Model, available here

- The Media arts section is currently organizing meetings specifically with media arts organizations, if your organization has not been contacted by a Media Arts agent please let us know!
- IMAA has a strategy in place to inform and engage with the major changes at Council. In order to better prepare media arts organizations for the transition, we will send to our members an analysis of the information that's been released so far and continue to consult with the community about their questions and concerns.
The new programs will come into effect on April 1, 2017
SAVE THE DATE!
On January 19, you are invited to attend the Canada's Council Annual Public Meeting 2016 in Ottawa
from 4 to 5:30 pm EST or via livestream.
IMAA encourages members of the media arts community to participate in the pre-budget consultations currently being conducted by the Ministry of Finance.
This is an excellent opportunity to ask the new government to honour its election promise to increase the Canada Council's parliamentary appropriation starting in 2016-17!
For information about the five ways you can participate in the consultations, go to: www.budget.gc.ca/2016/prebudget-prebudgetaire/index-en.html
