Digital Skills for Youth program (DS4Y)
IMAA is participating in the Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) program, offering funding opportunities for employers who wish to host youth internships that build digital skills in the arts and culture sector.
The DS4Y program is a national initiative coordinated through Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) overseen by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). These internships help youth advance their digital skills, improve their employability and use their talent to their full potential in the digital economy.
Between now and winter 2022, IMAA will help at least 12 additional underemployed post-secondary graduates develop their digital skills, gain valuable work experience and enhance their future employability through work and training internships hosted by nonprofits and small businesses in the arts and culture sector.
How to apply:
Prospective employers are invited to submit their applications online via IMAA’s website. Please note that IMAA is not accepting applications directly from prospective youth interns. Host organizations, not IMAA, are responsible for advertising internship opportunities publicly and for recruiting and hiring interns.
When to apply:
The next application deadline is August 15th 2021 (midnight PT) for internships taking place between September 15th 2021 and March 31st 2022.
