With the end of school rapidly approaching, there is a lot going on at Golf Club of Illinois and with MPSGOLF.COM.
The Club has made some renovations, the clubhouse looks great, with more upgrades to come.
Here at MPSGOLF.COM, the second series of junior lessons started April 29th and 30th, with school ending on May 25th for D-300, the junior golf season kicks into full gear. We have expanded the LPGA/USGAGirl’s Only Golf program, to almost double last year’s clinics. Please register your girls for membership in the LPGA/USGA Girl’s Only Golf by clicking on this link
By joining the LPGA, you will receive a free golf gift along with the many benefits that come with being a member. Best of all, the cost to join the LPGA/USGA Girl’s Only Golf program is absolutely  FREE!!
We will still be conducting our regular junior camps, open to both boys and girls. Clinics range from a four-day camp (Monday-Thursday) 3-day camp (Tuesday-Thursday) and 8 week clinics that meet once a week. For complete information on all the camps and clinics please click here MPSGOLF.COM
One of our finest accomplishments has been the grant programs we have become involved with. If any student completes a beginner’s clinic and intermediate clinic, at the completion of the intermediate clinic, they will receive from the Kids Golf Foundation, a new starter set of Tour Edge golf clubs, a golf bag, Polo shirt, Hat and bag tag, along with tees and golf balls, everything to get them on the course playing.  Students are also eligible to receive the same golf equipment package by signing up for a clinic and participating in the Boy’s or Girl’s Golf League which is launching Monday, June 5th with T-Times beginning at 7:30 in the morning. There is a meeting for both the Boy’s and Girl’s Junior Leagues on Wednesday, May 24th at 6:30 P.M.
With the help of another foundation, we will have been granted 10 sets of brand new USKIDSGOLF clubs, so we will have quality equipment that fits juniors from 4 years old to 17.
Also, through the LPGA, we are planning to have a field trip (Tuesday, June 27th) to a practice round at the Women’s KPMG PGA Championship being held at Olympia Fields Country Club. This will be for both girls and boys up to 17 years old, we will need some adults to act as chaperones. This is a great way to see the top Women players in the world. We anticipate the cost of round trip transportation, tournament entry, T-Shirt and bottled water to be approximately $45 per person.
Minimum registration is 32
Maximum is limited to the first 150 people
Registration closes Monday, June 12th at 5:00 P.M.
Finally, if you want to see the next generation of golfers, the NCAA Men and Women are holding their NATIONAL Championships at Rich Harvest Farms, located in Sugar Grove which is about 45 minutes away from Golf Club of Illinois. The top amateurs from around the country will be competing for the National Title as teams and individually. The women begin on Friday, May 19, 2017 and play is completed on Wednesday, May 24th.
The men begin play on Friday, May 26th through May 31st. This is a great way to see top flight players playing a top 100 golf course.
As you can see, there are a lot of clinics and programs to plan your summer around, please visit MPSGOLF.COM for complete details.
And as always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 773-858-3978 or email me at
