Wisdom’s Table is in the beginning phase of starting a Prayer Ministry Team.  Prayer is instrumental in helping our church continue to grow and flourish in our mission inside and outside of these walls.  If you feel led by the Holy Spirit to be part of this essential ministry, please give it some thoughtful prayer and let us know of your desire to join this powerful group.  Prayer is crucial in the life of faith.  It unleashes God’s power in our lives.  Part of this Team's responsibility will be to pray daily for our country, the church, leaders, congregation and any special prayer requests, both those from the bulletin and any specifically coming directly to us.  We will also be praying for each of our team members, thanking God for them and asking for protection and guidance.  We will meet regularly (probably monthly) to evaluate our progress and also to share some invaluable information concerning prayer.  Stay tuned as there will be more to follow.  Please see Jon Krout ( if you are interested. Please join us on February 24th at 10AM in Kunkel Hall to organize this special Ministry.

Examining Culture
A Day of Reflection and Practice with Dr. Amanda Kemp
Saturday, March 16 @ 10am – 5pm - lunch included
“Culture is powerful precisely because it is so present and at the same time so very difficult to name or identify.” ~ Tema Okum
“White Supremacy Culture” is the cultural sea we all swim in. It is the culture in which we were all formed. In our day-long working retreat with Dr. Amanda Kemp, we will explore in-depth the characteristics of white supremacy culture – like perfectionism, a sense of
urgency, either/or thinking and power hoarding. We will reflect upon our own experiences of White Supremacy Culture and practice “antidotes” that can help us resist it. We will also explore dynamics of “white fragility” and “black fragility” which often thwart our efforts toward right-relationship, exclusivity and justice.
Let us continue the work of transforming racism together!

What is the Jane Addams Fund?
Wisdom's Table is a diverse congregation in many ways and one of those is socio-economic. We have seen and increasing amount of need among our members and friends who live on the economic edge. We believe that as a congregation that is focused on Social and Environmental Justice, we should respond to those among us who are facing financial need in part because of social justice issues. As such we are collecting funds on a quarterly basis that will be disbursed to those members and friends in need.

As a member or Friend of Wisdom's Table you are eligible to apply for the Jane Addams Fund.
Applications for funds are available in the bin above the mailboxes outside the office or from a pastor. Please return the completed application to Parish Administrator, Pam Kilgore's mailbox or to a pastor. The Professional Leadership Team (Pastor Anabel, Pastor Lance, and Pam)  will review and make decisions about each application received based on need and funds available.
If you would like an electronic copy of our Church Directory, please reply to this e-mail to request one
If you have a change of address, phone or email, please let Parish Administrator Pam Kilgore know so that we can keep our records up to date. Reply to this e-mail to contact Pam. Thank you!

Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and Reverend Jimmy Creech, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.
