Lenten Spiritual Practice Gathering

For the season of Lent, Pastor Anabel Proffitt will be hosting a one-hour zoom weekly gathering on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 beginning February 24 through March 24th.

This will give participants an opportunity to share how they are experiencing the readings and art from our Lenten devotional resource “Again and Again,” as well as to engage in spiritual practice together.

Children's Time

Children's time at 9:30a.m. each Sunday morning, except the first Sunday of the month.

If your child, niece, nephew, grandchild etc. would like to participate please contact the church office.

prayer Time

Pray time will be held March 9th from 6:30-6:50p.m. via Zoom.

One Great Hour of Sharing

Donations will be collected starting Tuesday, March 1st to Wednesday, March 30th.

Lent is just around the corner. We have a Lenten Devotional booklet we encourage you to receive. This booklet compliments the worship resource we will be using this year sduring Lent! It is available to you in email form or printed form.

Wednesday Book Group

The group is discussing a new book titled Sacred Instructions- Indigenous Wisdom for Living Spirit - Based Change by Sherri Mitchell. The Group will meet from 10:00 to 11:30a.m. every Wednesday. If any one is interested you can email Pastor Anabel at pastoranabel@wisdomstableucc.org and she will send you a Zoom link.

Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday series
We have been meeting weekly at 10:00 and just completed an excellent series from the Episcopal church on Civil Discourse.

This week, February 21, is a transitional week to look at some of the themes of Richard Rohr’s The Universal Christ to prepare to read the companion book, Every Thing is Sacred, for a multi-week study.

Please consider joining us for this inspiring look at incarnational Christianity as framed by Franciscan Father Richard and Patrick Boland! You will be able to join the discussion without purchasing the book but having access to at least Every Thing is Sacred will be helpful, both to read the very brief chapters before class and to use the Reflective Exercises on your own and in community!

Prayers for baby Ezra and his family, Ezra was born Tuesday, with severe health issues he is in the NICU with a poor prognosis; prayers for all those who feel lonely; prayers that the peace of the universal Christ be with us and all the world; prayers for Jeremy's sister Melissa who was discharged from the hospital; pray for the Muise's and their daughter, Debbie and her husband Frank, Debbie was diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer; pray for Sarita's nephew Jason, who is struggling with addiction; prayers for Laurie's upcoming test and discernment; pray for Nilda's family and her nieces who are having difficulty as they have lost her half sister to health complications, strengthen them and surround them with your love; prayers for Carole's sister Janice, who is still on a ventilator and not doing well; prayers for Anabel's brother John; prayers for Maria's friend Susan, who is mourning the loss of her life companion, Bernie; pray for all those who are oppressed, for those with health concerns, and for those who are separated from friends and family; prayers for Jeremy's friend Dynez, who is in the hospital; prayers for all pastors and leaders struggling with weariness; pray for Sarita's sons, and daughters for all of them to come to know Christ and sending love on this day to all of them; pray for all who are homeless; prayers for Deb M's cousin whose disabled daughter died from Covid-19 last Sunday; prayers that our community-our communion with one another and the universal Christ will grow in love.

Brenda Buckwalter has been moved to North Carolina with her son and his family. Please keep them all in your prayers as she adjusts to this move. Her new address is: 640 Acorn Oaks Drive, Salisbury, NC 28146

So brush your pets teeth, Learn more about Black History Month by watching documentaries on PBS and other channels. Share the love of Valentines day by doing a random act of Kindness or donating to your favorite charity.

During this time please remember the church!

Here are some ways you can continue to give to Wisdom's Table.:
1. Mail your contribution to: Wisdom's Table at St. Peter's UCC, 816 Buchanan Ave., Lancaster PA 17603 (Pam and Tommy will be making sure the mail is collected)

2. Visit Wisdom's Table's website. At the top there is a tab "How to Donate". The e-giving button is our new online giving. If you donate from your bank account to ours there is no fees. If you donate by using your credit card there are fees. You can also schedule a donation to happen monthly, yearly, weekly or a one time donation.

Our PayPal button is still available.

3. Most banks have bill pay. Visit your bank's website and make a donation through bill pay.

4. Please consider making a donation to the Jane Addams Fund. Many of our members will be experiencing difficult times in the near future.

AN UPDATE ON OPENING THE BUILDING

The reopening task force team will update you as to the protocols and who can enter the building. If you need to enter the building please email the church at office@wisdomstableucc.org or call (717) 392-8912 to make an appointment.

At this time some of our building user groups have started to enter the building and they are following the safety protocols laid out by the church and the CDC.

No Worship in the Sanctuary at this time.

The task force will make sure the church follows CDC guidelines and protocols.

Please be a little more patient as this Team works for your safety and the safety of everyone!
