FROM THE PRESIDENT ...
It has been another busy month for LANZBC with a number of events occurring.  There has also been ongoing developments positively impacting business relationships between Latin America and New Zealand.
The LANZBC Board were delighted to sponsor the 'Pacific Alliance: 2018 and beyond' event at the end of August, which highlighted the significance of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru as trading partners for New Zealand. We were encouraged by the number of organisations showing an interest in the Pacific Alliance countries as potential markets for investment or expansion and look forward to working with those companies to develop their Latin American strategies. More information on that event is available below.

As noted below negotiations have been proceeding well for the Pacific Alliance FTA.  You will also see that New Zealand's Ambassador in Brazil Chris Langley presented his credentials to President Michel Temer on 6th September.

This month we've also launched a new LANZBC LinkedIn page and I encourage all of our readers to follow us, for business news, events and opportunities relating to trade between NZ and Latin America. See below for more info.

In the coming month, we are looking forward to hosting Jessica Luna, the General Manager of ComExPeru on Friday 26 October. ComExPeru is Peru's equivalent of Export New Zealand, and Jessica will be sharing her tips and advice for kiwi companies wanting to export to and from Peru.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Please feel free to contact the Board via info@lanzbc.co.nz should you have any news, views or information you'd like to share.

All the best
Simon
