Welcome to The Hoot!

Ground has broken on our new classrooms and Commons building. These spaces will support our students in a rigorous, hands-on, experiential curriculum. As always, information about these new builidngs can be found on our website. If you'd like to see what's happening on campus, a good opportunity would be Alumni Day on January 5. Every year, we invite alumni to come back to talk about life beyond Athenian, catch up with friends, enjoy a meal, and play a soccer game! We'd love to welcome you back and catch you up on some of the changes taking place on our campus.

Don't forget to submit your essays for the Athenian Memory Book project! It doesn't matter if you aren't a writer - your memories are part of Athenian history. Please visit our submission page and share your stories with us. Writing an essay about your Athenian memories for this book is a lasting way to memorialize alumni and community members we have lost recently. We encourage you to dedicate your entry to someone who had an impact on your education here.

Warm regards,

Ground has broken!

In the new year, we will finish the new Knoll classrooms and the Commons for use by the summer of 2017. This week, safety fencing and signage for new pathways are being installed. The construction crew will begin removing the Commons over the winter break. Throughout the next several months, Turner Construction will grade the knoll and pour foundations for the new knoll classrooms and Commons. The new classrooms will be built off site in the coming months, then delivered and assembled this spring. We can't wait to move into our new spaces next fall!
As changes happen on our campus, you can follow along on our website or Facebook page.

The Athenian Blog

Read how our alumni in Asia have been reconnecting with the school through our Director of Admission's autumn trips there. More stories on the blog.
The Magazine Editors would like to apologize for an error in the 2016 Athenian Magazine. The photo included for Dan Goldberg '03 in the Athenian Remembers section was not a photo of Dan (it was his Facebook profile picture). Dan passed away in July, and is deeply missed by the entire Athenian community.
