concept design for city park

City shaping projects hit milestones

Council’s vision to drive transformation of the Penrith City Centre has reached key milestones this month.

Concept plans for City Park have been endorsed by Council and unveiled to the public. The 7,000sqm park will become an iconic destination in the City Centre and the concept design gives an exciting first glimpse into what the city’s green heart will look like.

Redevelopment of the former Council Chambers as modern commercial office space is a step closer. The site, opposite the future City Park, is set to progress through design and development application processes after a key contract was awarded.

The two projects are part of a revitalisation of the City that also includes an innovative design for a new commercial building on Council land in Soper Place and the $24 million upgrade of Regatta Park. Read More

Penrith is a place of limitless opportunity. It is located at the point where Sydney’s north-south growth arc, Australia’s most significant future economic corridor, crosses the east-west connection. Penrith is the heart of this Growth City, which we call the 'New West'.
