Dear Fellow Parishioners,
We would like to thank all of you that made your pledge for 2021! This really helps the Vestry with planning for the new year’s budget and is much appreciated.
For those of you that have not yet pledged, we ask that you prayerfully consider doing so. We have asked to have these pledges by December 15 in order for the Vestry to complete next year’s budget. However, if you are unable to make this commitment by then, we will happily accept your pledge after that date.
We miss seeing our St. Luke’s families and friends at church but please know how important each one of you are to what makes St. Luke’s such a special place. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us! Thanks and blessings during this holiday season.
Love in Christ,
Laura and Martha

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we near the date when Fr. Chris Golding will depart from the position of Associate Priest, I want to invite you to write letters of thanks and appreciation to Fr. Chris and his family. We will present a monetary gift or “purse” to Fr. Golding that is not taxable to him, and not tax deductible to the donor.
We will say farewell to the Golding family during the announcements at the December 20th,10:30 AM service. If you are unable to be present in person for that service, please join us via our livestream feed on Facebook or Vimeo.
And please continue to pray for God's blessings upon Fr. Chris, Julia, Phoebe, and James as they discern next steps in their lives of service to God and the Church.

The Third Sunday of Advent
This week's theme:
As we continue to wait for the Messiah, Christ Jesus, to return in glory, we continue our journey to the manger of Bethlehem this Advent. This week, we hear the Gospel of John’s account of St. John the Baptist, who we encountered last week. John the Baptist and forerunner is the one who “testifies to the light,” the light found in and through the person of Jesus our Savior. John is not the Messiah, but the one making the path straight for Jesus to come into our midst. Praise the Lord!

December 24 (Christmas Eve)
We will offer two services this year for Christmas Eve at 3pm and at 5:30pm. The service will occur in the sanctuary with overflow seating in Pope Hall where participants will be able to view the service live on large screens. Although our services may look a little differently, and we worship a bit further apart, we hope you will join us in person for this annual service marking the birth of Jesus Christ. In addition to the live, in-person services, we will also offer a virtual service as well.
JOIN OUR NEW LIVESTREAM TEAM:
We are looking for a few tech-savvy folks who would like to join our LIVESTREAM TEAM to help us with our Facebook Live and Vimeo virtual services produced using the MEVO camera. Don't worry (it's really not that hard). And, you could learn some new skills (if you don't know how to do this already). The LIVESTREAM TEAM is going to be very important, especially for our Annual Meeting when we will have live, real-time voting. Does this sound like fun? We'd love your help.

SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADORS:
St. Luke's does great things and we need to let the world know about us. Our new SOCIAL MEDIA AMBASSADOR program is designed to have parishioners high school aged and up to help us spread the word. This is a great opportunity to earn service hours if you need them for school. This is also a great way for anyone to share with the world all the great things happening at St. Luke's.
