SPECIAL GIFTS OF LOVE AND LETTERS FROM THE HEART FOR FR. CHRIS AND THE GOLDING FAMILY

We invite you to write letters of thanks and appreciation to Fr. Chris and his family. You can mail or drop messages off at the church office, or email them to stlukesbrchurch@gmail.com, and we will collect them to give to the Goldings.

We will present a monetary gift or “purse” to Fr. Golding that is not taxable to him, andnot tax deductible to the donor.

If you would like to make a contribution by check, please make checks payable to St. Luke's Episcopal Church and reference “Golding Purse” in the memo line. Weekly Sunday Worship Service:
You are invited to join us at St. Luke's for Holy Eucharist on Sunday's at 8am and 10:30am. You must register in advance by Thursday at noon for each week's service.
TONIGHT: December 13
Family Christmas movie night showing of "Home Alone" 
To celebrate Home Alone's 30th Anniversary we will be hosting a special "outdoor" screening of the iconic Christmas film.
Where: Trinity Episcopal Church (3552 Morning Glory Avenue, Baton Rouge)
Time: 6 - 8pm.
We will have pizza, popcorn and hot chocolate.
What to bring: picnic blanket or chairs.
Youth and their families are welcome to attend.
Thank you for wearing your mask, bringing hand sanitizer, and observing social distancing between household units.
December 21
Registration is now open for Longest Night Service of healing and hope to be held on December 21st at 6pm. This service is open to anyone in the community who has suffered loss or grieving of any type this past year. The annual Longest Night service coincides with the winter solstice and recognizes that the holiday season isn't necessarily merry and bright for everyone.  Come light a special votive candle in memory of a loved one, an unrealized dream, or any source of heartache. December 24 (Christmas Eve)
We will offer two services this year for Christmas Eve at 3pm and at 5:30pm. The service will occur in the sanctuary with overflow seating in Pope Hall where participants will be able to view the service live on large screens. Although our services may look a little differently, and we worship a bit further apart, we hope you will join us in person for this annual service marking the birth of Jesus Christ. In addition to the live, in-person services, we will also offer a virtual service as well. 

Sanitation Measures
Church facilities are Cleaned and Sanitized for your Protection- We want everyone to know that we are taking the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic very seriously and have taken several measures to protect our parishioners. Our church facilities are cleaned and sanitized before and after services to insure a safe and clean environment in which to worship. In addition to the 6 feet social distancing, hand sanitizer, and wearing of masks during our services, we have installed HEPA (High-Efficiency-Particulate-Air) approved air filters. Filters meeting the HEPA standard must satisfy certain levels of efficiency. A HEPA air filter must remove 99.97% of airborne indoor pollutants whose diameter is equal to 0.3 microns. Finally, as an additional precautionary method, our church sanctuary and facilities are cleaned using a disinfectant spray mist which provides 99.95% protection against airborne and surface bacteria and viruses.

Preparations are being made now for the Annual parish Meeting set for January 17th.
At the meeting, we'll hear all about the "state of the union" here at St. Luke's and elect new members to the Vestry. Please make every effort to attend as we need a quorum of 100.

TIME: 9:15am until 10am (between the 8am and 10:30am worship services)
