Sunday School Wraps Up

This Sunday, November 10, brings the very last Sunday School sessions of the semester. We are so grateful to all of our volunteer teachers who gave their time and talent so students young and old could experience spiritual growth. See you at 10 am this Sunday for final lessons!

The photos above is from the "Picture This" class for middle-schoolers. Special guest Janet Holladay helped the middle-schoolers learn about the saints and stories pictured in our beautiful stained glass windows. The kiddos took some gorgeous photos and matched scriptures to go with each window. Want to learn more about our windows? Ask a middle-schooler! Thank you, Janet!

Vestry Nominations Now Open

Now is the time to nominate someone to serve on our Vestry! Keeping the St. Luke's mission in mind, Vestry members work together for the greater good of our church: its programming, facilities, fiscal health, and spiritual life. Forms are available in the church foyer, or you can download/print one HERE. The deadline for nominations is November 11. Questions? Contact Owen Cope:

Top Box Delivery this Saturday
Top Box will be at St. Luke's this Saturday, Nov. 9 from 11 am to 11:30 am to distribute boxes of healthy, affordable food items. Don't forget to swing by and grab your box if you ordered one last week!

If you love your church and want others to try it out (but feel too timid to invite them), or if you worry that newcomers at St. Luke's might get lost in the shuffle, the upcoming INVITE WELCOME CONNECT workshop at St. Luke's is calling your name! This workshop is open to all who want to learn about a transformational ministry that focuses on Gospel-directed hospitality and genuine connection. Please join us! 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, November 16. $20 fee includes lunch. Register HERE.

- Nov. 10: Our Crossroads ministry will prepare and serve a meal to homeless neighbors at the Bishop Ott shelter. Contact Deacon Reese to get involved:

- Nov. 17: Meet members of our Mission & Outreach Committee at Ingleside Methodist Church to pack Christmas care packages for local mariners. 4 pm to 6 pm at 4264 Capital Heights Avenue. Contact Tyler deFrances to sign up:

- Nov 28: Each year, St. Luke's partners with community organizations to find people in need of a Thanksgiving meal, and then we meet those needs by providing the food and assembling to-go boxes full of traditional holiday fare. Please sign up to participate in this ministry! Forms can be found in the church foyer this Sunday.

*Please note that due to limited storage and time restrains, we cannot accept food donations before Thanksgiving morning, and we cannot accept frozen food. If you're unable to participate in this ministry on Thanksgiving morning, please consider a monetary donation in advance, using "Thanksgiving Outreach" as the check memo. Thank you! Questions? Contact Deacon Reese:
November 17: Bishop's Fund
Bishop Thompson will be with us next Sunday during the 11:10 am service. Please note that the loose plate offerings will go to the Bishop's Fund in support of educational and missionary work.
November 24: Evensong
Last year's Collaborate Evensong with our friends at Greater St. Luke Baptist Church was such a blessing, so we're doing it again! Please mark your calendars for an Evensong service at 5:30 pm on November 24, featuring choirs from both churches. The theme for this year's collaboration will be "Thanksgiving"— we are indeed greateful for God's daily blessings! Reception to follow. Please bring a friend!

Eagle Scout Success

Way to go, Niles! Eagle Scout Niles Babin recently designed and installed a music garden for students at a local public elementary school. His work will be enjoyed for many years to come! Watch EBR's video HERE.
Dec. 1: Boxwood & Beignets
