Buxton Museum and Art Gallery Saturday 12 September - Saturday 14 November 2015
Preview: Saturday 12 September, 2-4pm
Meet the Artist: Saturdays 10 and 31 October, 2-4pm
I'd like to invite you to the Preview of my next solo exhibition, Liquid Light, at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery.
I’m delighted to have the opportunity to show so much of my portfolio in Buxton, close to their origin and to my home. Water is intrinsically linked to the history and development of the town and its importance continues today. Over the past 3 years, water has changed the way that I view the camera and has taken me on a journey that I could not have anticipated. I’m still travelling. Through it I have found artistic focus, made new friends, and ventured in new directions.
The exhibition builds on my "Moments of Confluence" solo at the Joe Cornish Galleries in June and features an additional 14 images. While its focus is very much the often unnoticed beauty of water, it will include a few images that show how I now look at the land in a more fluid way.
I’ll be at the Gallery for the preview on Saturday 12 September between 2 and 4pm, and also on the afternoons of Saturday 10 and Saturday 31 October if you'd like to know a little more about my work. The exhibition then continues until November 14.
I do hope that you will be able to join me if you can - it would be lovely to see you.
