Secretary General's Message

The Association of African Universities (AAU) brings you compliments of the New Season!!

I wish to express the AAU's special appreciation to all our members, development partners and other key higher education stakeholders who worked with us in 2017 and made the year a successful one.

In 2018, the AAU is poised to take further steps in the area of partnerships, collaborations and impacts. Our focus areas for the year include strengthening collaborations with the Private Sector, Civil Society, Governments , Alumni, Diaspora etc;  improving quality in higher education delivery; supporting research in various forms; establishing AAU Regional Offices for effective programme delivery at the regional level, and improving visibility and relevance of the AAU. 

I welcome all back to work and look forward to an enhanced collaboration in 2018.
