(1)  Invitation to the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Virtual Fair (26-27 October 2021)

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport. It provides funding for programmes, projects and scholarships. Towards the end of October/early November, the next general call will be published and will offer a series of actions open to universities in Africa. The Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Virtual Fair is an online event aiming to raise awareness on how results of Erasmus+ CBHE projects can improve the Higher Education sector in Partner countries.  It will take place on 26 and 27 October 2021. Read more about the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) Virtual Fair via this link:

(2)  Invitation to contribute to international collaboration in doctoral education

The International Association of Universities (IAU) and partners (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden; University of Bergen; NORDUnet and Nordic Insight), invite you to contribute to a short survey on international collaboration in doctoral education:   The partners behind this survey seek to leverage this opportunity by proposing an innovative approach to co-creation and sharing of doctoral courses among universities in different countries. (5)  Special Notice about the 2021 Africa Universities’ Day Celebration and Organisation of Events to Mark the Day (8-12 November 2021)

November 12th, is the day for the establishment of our great Association and is fast approaching. As mandated by our constitution and guidelines, and as has been the practice over the years, the AAU will be organizing a series of exciting virtual events to mark the 2021 Africa Universities’ Day celebrations.  In line with the above, this notice serves to gently remind African Universities to mark their institutional calendars and prepare to participate in the activities to be organized by the AAU Secretariat and Regional Offices.  The concept note for the 2021 Africa Universities’ Day celebration is accessible at –
