I also take this opportunity to inform all our stakeholders that during the week of 12-16 November 2018 we will be recognising the African Universities Week.  The African University Week is in honour of the day that the Association of African Universities was launched in Rabat, Morocco on the 12th November 1967. Since 2000, the African Universities have organized events to commemorate the day. In 2016 the celebrations changed from being a day’s celebrations to a week’s celebration format. The African University Week aims to achieve the following:
  1. Create awareness on the importance of Higher Education in Africa
  2. Promote dialogue on how to improve Higher Education in Africa
  3. Celebrate the success stories of Higher Education in Africa
Therefore, the Association of African Universities is inviting all Higher Education Institutions across the continent to celebrate the 2018 African Universities' Week which comes off from 12 -16 November 2018. Additional information on the African Universities Week Celebrations can be found from this link
