This week in Chomp & Chat, we’ll see what happens when we explore a line from The Bengsons, in a song that I can’t find online, unfortunately. It’s from an album called Hundred Days that tells a story of two people falling quickly in love while threatened by the impending death of one. How to live fully with a sword of Damocles hanging precariously above?

In this song, early into their life together, they rear-end a truck. He gets thrown into the steering wheel. In her panic, she starts to run. He speaks against a background of almost chanting voices, “And this is a thing I know about her now: that when she’s scared, she runs.”

What if, I always find myself wondering when I hear that line, we could treat all discoveries about self and others as more information to work with rather than bits to judge?

Wherever that thought takes you, I hope you'll bring it to Chomp & Chat today!
Thank you to Susan and Chris for a delightful mid-week conversation!
